This site was created for a class assignment. The professor had a list of imaginary people (first name, age, and an area of interest) we could choose from to focus on for the rest of the semester. I chose Susan, age 23, interested in cars. From there we further developed them, creating personas to flesh out who they were and what we imagined their needs were. I decided that her interest in cars had lead her to taking up automotive photography as a side job.

I took her on as a "client" and created a website in Wix for her growing business. I did all of the site design and content writing, making sure to tell the user who she is, illustrate the kinds of work she can do, and to connect with current and future clients.

Visually I chose to give the site a modern feel using sans serif fonts and varying grid layouts. For a highlight color I chose a vibrant orange, as it's a lively color but still reads fairly gender neutral, as her audience would be varied in terms of demographics. I gave the site both a gallery portion for the portfolio, as well as a more basic overview page of her work where she could also list pricing estimates. I imagine her site working in such a way that she could upload her client's photos to a private gallery, which they could log on to view and download, hence the client login page. The overall simplicity allows viewers to view her work, understand what she can do, and learn a little bit more about her, without being inundated with information.
